After months of rehearsals, trying to learn characters, and set building, 10 actors and two student directors presented the Perrysburg High School Theatre's fall play Rumors

With shows Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the play kept audiences laughing. Drama teacher Rob Gentry said they weren't trying to make a statement, but entertain people.

Rumors is a comedy where four couples come together for a dinner party but one of the hosts gets shot in the ear and the rest of the play they try to figure out who did it. Mr. Gentry said it was a good play for students because it had an even number of boys and girls cast.

The cast included Abby Newman, Kevin Korcyk, Madeline Parks, Noah Tye, Kyra Marks, Connor Leupp, Sara Miller, Connor Treece, Joseph Ball, and Jake Knight. The the two student directors were Colby Buzzell and Henry Newberg.

For cast members, it was difficult as they tried to find their characters identities and what they wanted to do with the roles. Mr. Gentry said usually they have very defined roles, but with these four couples, they didn't, and if they didn't find identities, they would all blend together.

The theater club's next performance will be Winter One Acts in late January and early February.
