Spotlight: FU5ION

Lineup: Jessica Mullins (vocalist), Jesse Duckworth (vocalist/keys), Terry Harris (guitar), Louis Self (keys), Warren Johnson (bass), and Will Schuler (drums).

Year formed: The band started in 2012 when it entered a Battle of the Bands Contest at Bar 145, but members have played for more than 10 years together and individually have more than 25 years' experience performing locally, nationally, and overseas.

Style of music: Pop, rock, R&B, country, jazz.

Sounds a little like: FU5ION is a party band, so get ready to hit the floor and dance all night long.

Influences: Earth Wind & Fire, Prince, Maroon 5, and Justin Timberlake. Our motto is, "We rock in a funky place."

Favorite local venue: Bar 145

Noteworthy: We have been the featured band at restaurants, lounges, and casinos. And we believe in giving back and have hosted and played for various charity events.

Upcoming gigs: Campfire Grille in Grand Rapids, Ohio, on Jan. 24; Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg on Feb. 1; and Hollywood Casino on Feb. 8.

CDs/online releases: The band is working on an EP of original material due out sometime this year.
