Tickets available for Clifford Murphy’s jam

There are still tickets available for Clifford Murphy’s Birthday Jam presented by the Art Tatum Jazz Society. The nationally recognized jazz bassist is turning 82, and he’ll be sitting in with several guest musicians starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Grand Plaza Hotel ballroom, 444 N. Summit St.

Tickets for the jam are $20 for Art Tatum Jazz Society members and $30 for nonmembers. Student tickets are $5. Tickets can be purchased online at arttatumsociety.com. Deadline for making reservations is 2 p.m. Tuesday. Party-goers are encouraged to arrive early.
