Obama girls join Martha's Vineyard vacation

CHILMARK, Mass. — The Obamas are now on a true family vacation.

Sasha and Malia Obama joined their parents today midway through a weeklong trip to Martha’s Vineyard.

The first daughters came late to the getaway because they had been finishing up summer camp.

With his daughters away, President Barack Obama had been filling his days with golf and basketball and taking nights out to dinner with the first lady. But the president cut his game to just nine holes today before returning to their rented Chilmark home to see the girls.

The president and first lady arrived Saturday with family dog Bo. Obama returns to Washington on Sunday.
