Tour bus overturns along Southern California freeway; large rescue triage effort underway
8/22/2013DUARTE, Calif. — A tour bus has overturned along a Southern California freeway and large rescue effort is underway.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident was reported today on the eastbound Interstate 210 in Duarte, an eastern Los Angeles County suburb.
The CHP says there are multiple injuries.
A KTTV-TV helicopter is showing the bus on its side alongside the freeway. Numerous firefighters and ambulances are on the scene and apparent victims are being examined in a triage operation.
Two emergency helicopters landed in lanes.
