WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Authorities in northeastern Pennsylvania say two men have been arrested in connection with the weekend shooting death of a New York City toddler in a stroller.

Police are labeling the New York residents “persons of interest” in the slaying of Antiq Hennis. They were taken into custody at about 6:30 a.m. today. No charges were immediately filed.

Authorities in New York say the boy was being pushed in a stroller by his mother and father while crossing a street in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn about 7:20 p.m. Sunday when multiple shots were fired. The child was rushed to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the left side of his face and was later pronounced dead.
