GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A West Michigan teacher is expected to be sentenced to at least three to six years in prison under a plea deal in a sex case involving several teens.

The Grand Rapids Press reports 35-year-old Jamila Williams pleaded no contest Thursday in Kent County Circuit Court to four counts of criminal sexual conduct. A no contest plea isn’t an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing.

Williams wept as she entered the pleas.

Williams is jailed ahead of sentencing, which is scheduled for Oct. 15. She faces up to 15 years in prison in the case, which was brought earlier this year.

Williams worked for Grand Rapids Public Schools. She has been suspended from her position at Grand Rapids University Prep Academy.
