GRASS LAKE, Mich. — Two men face charges after police say a train struck their stalled SUV on a mid-Michigan railroad track.

State police Sgt. Cathy Fitzgerald tells MLive.com for a story today that when the Grass Lake men could not push the SUV they left it sitting on the track.

The train slammed into the vehicle about 11 p.m. Friday in Grass Lake, about 55 miles west of Detroit.

A person aboard the train suffered minor injuries. It was not immediately clear Monday if the injured person worked on the train or was a passenger.

The two men who left the SUV were arrested a short time after Friday’s crash. Charges include resisting arrest and obstructing justice.
