Skydiving death near southern Michigan airfield
7/6/2014MARSHALL, Mich. — Authorities in southern Michigan say that one person has died in a skydiving accident.
WOOD-TV says the accident happened Sunday morning near Brooks Field in Marshall. The site is about 15 miles east-southeast of Battle Creek.
The station says authorities had no immediate details on the accident.
The Calhoun County emergency dispatch center tells The Associated Press that Marshall police will put out a statement later Sunday.
