Federal ATF agent in Arkansas arrested on charge of driving while intoxicated
8/2/2014LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent in Arkansas has been charged with driving while intoxicated while driving a government-owned vehicle.
An Arkansas State Police trooper arrested 37-year-old John Norris on July 25 in Sherwood on charges of DWI, refusing to submit to alcohol testing, driving the wrong way on a one-way road and driving with a defective taillight.
Little Rock ATF field office head agent Grover Crossland told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (http://bit.ly/1p0vpzK ) that Norris is an ATF agent. Crossland declined comment on whether Norris is on leave or on his disciplinary history — saying only that the case is under review by internal investigators.

Norris is due in Sherwood District Court on Aug. 26.
