2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody

  • CHELSEA, Mich. — Dodge’s performance team continues to amp up the lunacy, announcing a new Challenger SRT model on Thursday that cranks out nearly as much horsepower as last year’s limited edition SRT Demon.

That car, which boasted 840 horses and could rip through the quarter-mile in a production car record 9.65 seconds, is no longer available. The last one built was just sold at a charity auction last week alongside the final Dodge Viper for a cool $1 million.

But the Demonic possession of Dodge will live on in the just-debuted 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye. Slotting in a step above above the already-bananas Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Redeye boasts a 797-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi. With the optional widebody kit, Dodge officials claim the Redeye will zip from zero to 60 in 3.4 seconds, have a top speed of 203 miles per hour, and do the quarter-mile in a scant 10.8 seconds at 131 miles per hour.
