Sometimes at library programs children are read to by adults, but things are a little different at the Bedford Branch Library. On Mondays through Aug. 11, children do the out-loud reading to a special audience: dogs. In the program called Paws to Read, Jordan Fannin, 8, of Temperance, reads to Neddick, who was dressed in a tie for the occasion.
After another reading stint, Jordan is on the receiving end of a thank-you lick of approval by Porsche. In the program, each of the children who attends will take a turn reading for 15 minutes to one of these special animals from Paws with a Heart, an international group of therapy dogs.
