MONROE — A Toledo man was killed when the car he was driving crashed on southbound I-75 north of Summit Street in Monroe County’s Erie Township, authorities said.
Joshua Heck, 23, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead after the crash Tuesday night, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Heck was driving south on the interstate about 8:15 p.m. when he lost control of the car, causing it to drive onto a snow-covered right shoulder. The vehicle rotated counterclockwise, re-entered the southbound lanes, and overturned, ejecting the driver, sheriff’s deputies said.
Toledo police had reported the car, a 2001 Ford Taurus, as stolen from Toledo earlier Tuesday.
