Ohio State beats Minnesota 38-7
10/24/2009COLUMBUS – Ohio State bounced back from an embarrassing defeat last week at Purdue and throttled Minnesota 38-7 Saturday afternoon. Sophomore quarterback Terrelle Pryor threw a pair of long touchdown passes to sophomore wide receiver DeVier Posey, and Pryor scored another touchdown on a 15-yard run.
The Buckeyes (6-2, 4-1 Big Ten) had a sluggish first half and led only 7-0 at the break, but Ohio State converted a couple of Minnesota fumbles into scores on a short field, and then Pryor hit Posey on a 57-yard play to stretch the lead to 28-0 by the end of the third quarter.
Ohio State lost starting tailback Brandon Saine in the first half of the game to a possible concussion. True freshman Jordan Hall and redshirt freshman Jermil Martin carried the ball the rest of the afternoon for Ohio State, with each scoring a touchdown.
