Report: OSU RB Dunn cited for drug paraphernalia

COLUMBUS — Ohio State freshman running back Bri’onte Dunn was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and a seat belt violation during a weekend traffic stop, according to a report in the Canton Repository.

A source reportedly told the newspaper that police in Alliance stopped Dunn for failing to wear a seat belt and subsequently found a marijuana pipe in his car. There was allegedly a second passenger.

Dunn, a five-star recruit from Canton GlenOak, was reportedly not arrested —contrary to a widely circulated online report. Both charges are misdemeanors.

Alliance Police declined to confirm the incident Sunday night. An Ohio State spokesman said the school had no comment.

Dunn, who graduated early from GlenOak and enrolled at Ohio State in January, rushed for more than 5,000 yards in high school, and he was rated by Scout.com the No. 32 prospect overall in the Class of 2012.
