■ Notes: Ohio State has won 11 of its last 12 games against Iowa, with its last loss coming in Iowa City in 2004. ... The schools’ latest meeting will match strength against strength when the Buckeyes run the ball. OSU’s is 11th nationally with 280.7 rushing yards per game while Iowa’s run defense ranks third in the Big Ten (88.5 yards allowed). .... Ohio State’s 46.8-point-per-game average leads the conference and is sixth in the NCAA. ... The Buckeyes will attempt to match their second-longest winning streak in school history with a 19th straight victory. OSU had 19-game streaks spanning 2002-03 and 2005-06 and a record 22-gamer from 1967-69. ... The Buckeyes are refreshed, and if history is any indication, ready coming off their first bye. Coach Urban Meyer’s teams are 34-2 when having more than one week to prepare for an opponent. Iowa features a pair of players from northwest Ohio: junior offensive lineman and Anthony Wayne graduate Andrew Donnal and junior receiver Damond Powell. A Rogers graduate, Powell has emerged as one of the Hawkeyes’ top big-play threats after transferring from Snow Community College in Ephraim, Utah. Powell has six catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns.
