Ohio State cruises past Indiana 42-14

COLUMBUS — No. 4 Ohio State cruised to a 42-14 win over Indiana today on an afternoon that transformed Ohio Stadium into an oversized snow globe.

Quarterback Braxton Miller accounted for four touchdowns — two running, two passing — running back Carlos Hyde became the first 1,000-yard back in Urban Meyer's head coaching career, and OSU sent off its 18 seniors with a record win.

The Buckeyes (11-0, 7-0 Big Ten) won their school-record 23rd straight game — the longest streak in the Big Ten in 64 years — and clinched the Leaders Division title. They will play No. 13 Michigan State, which iced the Legends Division with a 30-6 win over Northwestern, in the Big Ten championship game Dec. 6 in Indianapolis.

Miller completed 11 of 17 passes for 160 yards and ran for 144 yards on 13 carries. Hyde rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.

HALFTIME

Ohio State added a pair of second-quarter touchdowns to take a 28-0 halftime lead over Indiana today at Ohio Stadium.

After cornerback Bradley Roby blocked a punt at the Hoosiers 8-yard line, quarterback Braxton Miller scored on a 5-yard reverse for his second TD of the afternoon. Running back Carlos Hyde also scored again, punching in a 5-yard TD run just before the half.

The Buckeyes found the end zone on their first two drives to burst past Indiana 14-0 in the first quarter.

Running back Carlos Hyde capped a five-play, 71-yard opening drive with a 16-yard touchdown run and Miller followed with a 37-yard TD run on the next possession.
