3 Big Ten games featuring Ohio State, 1 featuring Michigan will be played in primetime

Primetime football in November is coming to the Big Ten.

Just not for the game many expected.

Ohio State will play in three nationally televised primetime games this fall, including a Nov. 1 home game against Illinois. Yet ABC/ESPN's announcement today of its six 8 p.m. broadcasts featuring Big Ten teams did not include the league's marquee game of the season — the Buckeyes' trip to Michigan State on Nov. 8.

Ohio State will also play under the lights for its Sept. 6 home opener against Virginia Tech and its Oct. 25 trip to Penn State.

Michigan, meanwhile, will host its first Big Ten night game on Oct. 11 against Penn State. It will mark the third primetime game in Michigan Stadium history, following games against Notre Dame in 2011 and 2013.
