Former OSU cornerback Bradley Roby charged with OVI
4/24/2014COLUMBUS — Former Ohio State star cornerback Bradley Roby will be arraigned Friday on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired, according to Franklin County court records.
Days before Roby was invited to attend the NFL draft, he reportedly failed a field sobriety test after police spotted him asleep in his car in downtown Columbus last weekend, according to WBNS TV. The website ElevenWarriors.com reported Roby’s breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content of .008 — or 10 times below Ohio’s legal limit.
A copy of the police report was not available late Thursday night.
Roby, 21, is widely considered a likely first-round draft pick in next month’s draft and was one of 30 players invited earlier in the week to attend the event.
A former All-American, Roby was suspended for one game last year after a summer incident at a Bloomington, Ind., bar resulted in a misdemeanor battery charge, though the charge was eventually dropped.
