A retail building plan at the northeast corner of Eckel Junction Road and State Rt. 25 was unanimously approved by the city of Perrysburg Planning Commission today.
The approved site plan features a 6,000-square-foot building to house a few retailers. The eight-tenths of an acre site, just south of Arby's, is vacant land, site of a former gas station. The name for the center on the plan is Perry's Corner.
No community members came in opposition Thursday, and the commission members didn't have any concerns with the plan.
"The landscaping is substantial and well designed," said Brody Walters, the city's planning and zoning administrator.
Steve Speranza of Tolson Enterprises wouldn't disclose what retailers are expressing interest, but said tenants could include a national credit store and a causal restaurant.
Construction is expected to begin in July and be completed by late fall.
The plan shows 31 parking spaces. Access points would be through Arby's exiting drive and American Table's entrance on Eckel Junction. Three curb cuts from the gas station near the intersection would be eliminated. The building will have glass, stone, stucco, and metal accents.
