Art entries sought for fiber show at 577 Foundation in Perrysburg

'Untitled Hat,' by artist Nancy Beeman was one of the items featured during the 577 Foundation's Fiber Arts Show in the past.

Entries are being sought for a juried 2013 fiber show sponsored by the 577 Foundation in Perrysburg on June 8-9.

The organization's mission on this program is to expose the community to artwork from regional artists in the field of fiber.

Participating artists will be eligible for several monetary awards, including Best of Show, 1st through 3rd places and People’s Choice.

New this year, one artist will be selected as a Featured Artist and will be awarded a solo exhibit in conjunction with the 2014 fiber577 show.

For the third year, on completion of the weekend, artists will again have the opportunity to participate in a fiber show at Angelwood Gallery in Grand Rapids, Ohio from June  20 to July 21.

This year’s judge is nationally acclaimed fiber artist Renee Harris, of Cincinnati. Her work has shown at galleries and museums throughout the eastern United States and Midwest. She has won several awards for her work including the Niche Award, Ohio Arts Council, and Exhibitors’ Choice Bronze Award at the Smithsonian. Ms. Harris is in several corporate collections and been published in many books and magazines including 500 Felt Objects, Surface Design and American Craft.

Application deadline is April 8. For more information or to receive a prospectus, visit our website: or email us at
