The deadline for the final round of grants available for ash tree removal from private property is today, the City of Perrysburg is reporting.
Residents of Wood, Ottawa, and Sandusky counties can get help removing ash trees by applying for aid through WSOS Community Action Commission.
Ash trees posing a threat to a structure or play area can be removed through the program, which is funded by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Applications are available at area libraries and township, city, and county commissioners offices. For more information, go to www.wsos.org.
