U.S. Rt. 20 is shut as work on the railroad crossing continues.
Motorists using U.S. Rt. 20 between Glenwood Road and Lime City Road will be detoured until Friday when the construction allows the road to open up.
Shelly Co. is working on rebuilding the railroad tracks across the road just east of Lime City Road, which has caused the road closure. By the end of Friday, the contractor expects the road and railroad tracks to re-open.
For the next two to three weeks, the crew will be widening the road 12 feet on the northern side of U.S. Rt. 20.
The widening will create a middle-left turn lane for drivers on U.S. Rt. 20 to turn on Lime City Road.
Through Friday, drivers on U.S. Rt. 20 are being sent to U.S. Rt. 795 at Lime City Road and Glenwood Road to go around the construction.
