The sale of two parcels of land in the Perrysburg Heights for $700 was approved Wednesday by the Perrysburg Township township trustees.
Township Administrator Walt Celley said the land was forfeited to the township a few years ago. They were lots 465 and 466 in Perrysburg Heights development. Mr. Celley said Robert Zacharias bought the property and plans to put a home there. The township has just been mowing the lots.
Trustee Bob Mack said the sale will end the township's costs for maintaining the property. "We probably owned this one too long. Hopefully they will develop it."
Mr. Mack recommended putting other property the township owns and wants to sell on its Web site.
Also at the township meeting Wednesday, Mr. Celley said the former Lime City School demolition will be finished in the next few days. The site is being graded after the material from the former school has been removed.
Newest township police officer Donald Wibmer also was introduced at the meeting. He started Monday.
