More than 150 pairs of shoes were donated by 26 preschoolers, kindergartners, and first graders at the Islamic School of Greater Toledo.

The students participated in a donation drive by the international Soles4Souls, a non-profit based in Nashville.
The group collects new and used shoes and gives them to people in need. This week, shoe boxes were loaded at the school by students and the boxes were prepared to be sent out.
"It was a great deed," Principal Fadia Abouelaila said. "The objective was to have children reach out to others and realize others have needs. We want them to experience giving.
"They did a great job."
Principal Abouelaila said donations came from the students, their parents, and community members. The school is in Perrysburg Township.
