To get college credits, Perrysburg High School students must attend Feb. 21 meeting

The Perrysburg High School Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEO), established in 1992, permits high school students in grades 9-12 to earn college and high school graduation credit.

The program is intended to provide expanded opportunities for appropriately qualified high school students to experience coursework at the college or university level. School districts will grant academic credit to a pupil enrolled in a course or program if that pupil successfully completes the course or program attended.

Typically, there is no charge to the student for the costs of tuition or textbooks. However, because there are several conditions that must be met, students and parents interested in participating in PSEO are required to attend a meeting on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Perrysburg High School.

Current students enrolled in the post-secondary options program, and their parents, as well as students planning to take Accelerated Learning Options courses offered at the Levis Commons branch of Bowling Green State University must attend this meeting.

Intent to Participate forms, required by the State of Ohio, will be completed during this meeting.

Students planning to take only the Honors Spanish 4 and/or Honors World Civilization (dual enrollment college courses) are excluded from this meeting. However, they must complete a separate BGSU application available through the guidance department.
