The Perrysburg High School girls basketball team today will host a breast cancer awareness game, with the players wearing pink.
At the game against Anthony Wayne, the fans also are asked to wear pink as part of the Pink Out. The freshman game is at 4:45 p.m., junior varsity at 6 p.m., and varsity after that.
What's planned is to have the Perrysburg players wear pink socks and pink shirts for warm ups; Anthony Wayne players will wear pink shirts.
Singing the national anthem will be Pam Downour, who is a two-time breast cancer survivor and was the 2011 Komen Race honoree.
Proceeds from shirts sold at the game and from a 3-point shooting contest during the varsity game's halftime, will go to cancer research.
