The Perrysburg Yellow Jackets made history in the Northern Lakes League wrestling tournament Saturday night at Springfield, capturing 11 individual championships in the 14 weight classes in storming to their fourth straight league team title.
Perrysburg posted 273.5 points to easily top runner-up Anthony Wayne (121), and third-place Napoleon (115), in the team standings.
The Jackets, who were without injured defending 220-pound NLL champion Mark Delas, put all of their other 13 wrestlers in title matches, and came within eight points of sweeping those 13 finals.

Highlighting the Yellow Jackets’ dominant performance were senior J.P. Newton (152-pounds), who became the NLL’s sixth four-time league champion, and senior Rocco Caywood (182), who took his third straight NLL title.
Winning their second NLL titles for Perrysburg were sophomores Brock Jones (126) and Leo Romp (138), senior Kadin Llewellyn (195), and junior Cale Bonner (285).
The Jackets' first-time champions were freshmen Moises Guillen (120) and Josh Herhold (132), and junior twin brothers Matt Waltermeyer (145) and Dan Waltermeyer (160).
The other individual NLL winners were Napoleon sophmore Seth Beard (113), Springfield senior D.J. Vaughn (170), and Bowling Green senior Tyler Jacobs (220).
