Perrysburg Schools this month will have an Operation Bread Basket food drive and a Healthy Neighbors detergent drive to help the needy.
The drive starts Nov. 26 and ends Dec. 7.
Collected will be non-perishable food items, such as canned goods, cereal, boxed potatoes, pasta, stuffing, desserts, soups, and canned meats. The district asks for no items with glass containers.
A related program called Healthy Neighbors Program also has been implemented. It helps to serve the needy, including the one of every 10 students in the district whose families receive some type of federal assistance. This program asks for the donation of one container of laundry detergent between Nov. 26 and Dec. 7.
The items for both drives can be dropped off at Perrysburg schools.
