Perrysburg Township trustees have authorized the township fire department to spend $26,672.05 on a rescue squad monitoring unit from Physio Control.
Fire Chief Tom Brice said the device has a cardiac monitor, defibrillator, and external pacemaker; measures pulse and temperature, and registers blood pressure. It can send that data to any hospital electronically.
