Eat, vote, play at Pizza Palooza

Northwest Ohio will find out who has the best pizza this weekend at Pizza Palooza at Centennial Terrace.

Nine area pizza parlors will compete in the annual pizza making contest and vie for the people‘‍s choice award and the judge’‍s award. More thanr 12,000 people are expected to vote in the competition, which runs from 5 to 11:30 p.m. Friday and 4 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Children‘‍s activities include face painting, bounce houses, and activities from the Imagination Station, YMCA/JCC, Toledo Zoo and Toni & Guy Hair Dressing Academy. Live musical performances by Mt. Fuji and the Eruptions, Distant Cousins and Last Born Sons are planned for Friday. Saturday’‍s acts are Boffo, Barile and Mary and the Wheeler Brothers.

Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for children age 5 to 12, and children age 4 and under are free. Pizza vendors will be selling pizza for $1.50 - $2 a slice. Advance admission tickets are available at Metamora State Bank and the Sylvania Area Chamber Office. Information: sylvaniachamber.org.
