Mobile Care Group of Sylvania is again sponsoring the Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio, Inc. 2nd annual 5K event on April 14 at Secor Metropark in Sylvania Township..
Money raised at the 5K will be used to fund services provided by the group throughout the Toledo area. Cancer Connection offers hands-on support for cancer patients and their families with its Hand-in-Hand program. It also offers free services such as housing, medical equipment, daycare and a caregiver respite program.
The event is for both walkers and runners.
Joe Wallace, president of Mobile Care, said, “We want to support our community and good health,and this event accomplishes both goals. Cancer Connection is an exceptional organization, and we are proud to be able to help them with this fund-raising event.”
The fee for the run is $20 and includes a T-shirt for those who pre-register by April 1. Admission is $25 the day of the event.
Mobile Care, which provide health-care services, is based at 5151 S. Main St., Sylvania.
