The Sylvania Schools is hosting a Meet the Candidate’s Night today at Southview High School.
The events is at 6:30 p.m. in the school's Theater for Performing Arts. It is free and open to the public.
Candidates who have been invited to attend and talk about their platform and answer questions are:
Running for state representative in Ohio House District 47 :Barbara Sears and Jeff Bunck
Running for Ohio House District 46: Matt Szollosi and Dave Kissinger
Running for Ohio’s 5th Congressional District: Bob Latta, Angela Zimmann and Eric Eberly
Running for Ohio’s 9th Congressional District: Marcy Kaptur, Sam Wurzlebacher, and Sean Stipe
Running for Ohio State Senate: Randy Gardner and Jeff Bretz
Running for Ohio U. S. Senator: Sherrod Brown, Josh Mandel, Joseph Demare and John Fockler
Each candidate will have 4 minutes to speak, with a chance at the conclusion of the program for candidates to talk to audience member in the lobby during a dessert reception.
The event is co-sponsored by the Sylvania Schools’ Parent School Council, Sylvania Senior Center, and the Northwest Ohio teachers unions.
