Here are the crime reports from Sept. 11 through Sept. 17 from Sylvania and Sylvania Township police departments. Also included are the fire runs from the Sylvania Township Fire Department.
Theft. Carol Currier, 5700 block of Phillips Avenue, reported an unknown person took her wedding ring from her kitchen counter. It was valued at $2,000.
Theft. Sabreena Powell, 5100 block of Langham Drive, reported $40 was taken from her purse while it was in a classroom located at Southview High School, 7225 Sylvania Ave.
Assault. Steven Bleckner, 6000 block of Freejon Lane, reported an unnamed suspect struck him in the face with a closed fist. The incident occurred at Flower Hospital, 5200 Harroun Rd.
Sylvania Township Police
Theft. Walmart, 5821 W. Central Ave., reported that two suspects took an two flat screen TVs with TV mounts. The items had a total value of $455.92.
Attempted theft. Walmart, 5821 W. Central Ave., reported two unidentified persons attempted to steal a cart-full of merchandise valued at $590.93. However the cart was left just beyond the store doors, and the suspects fled the scene
Attempted theft. Walmart, 5821 W. Central Ave., reported an unidentified person cut the security band on a computer, worth $475, and attempted to leave without paying for it. When confronted by store officials, the suspect fled.
Burglary. Daisy Krum, 7500 block of Trotter Road, reported an unknown person entered the home and took her purse, valued at $50, along with $75. It is believed the person knew the garage code in order to enter the home.
Burglary. Eileen Jurkiewicz, 6100 block of Westacre Lane, reported her flat screen TV missing from the home. It was valued at $300.
Theft. Walmart, 5821 W. Central Ave., reported two unidentified suspects took an air mattress valued at $49.97, a burner at $29.92, and half eaten rotisserie chicken at $5.48. It is believed the suspects had two children sit on the merchandise while it was in the cart. Only the half-eaten chicken was recovered.
Theft. Walmart, 5821 W. Central Ave., reported three suspects took cosmetic and clothing items, totaling $94.59 in value. The store’s loss prevention team apprehended the suspects.
Theft. Walmart, 5821 W. Central Ave., reported a suspect took two boxes of condoms with a combined value of $17.44, and four USB flash drives with a total value of $179.88. The suspect was apprehended and items recovered.
Burglary. Michael Riley, 6400 block of Triple Crown, reported $21,010 worth of items taken from his home. When officers arrived on the scene it was ransacked. Items stolen include $1,000 in cash, a laptop computer, Nike tennis shoes, three TVs and a jewelry.
Theft. David Killian, 2900 block of Gradwohl Road, reported an unknown person took a log splitter from his backyard. The item was worth $2,000.
Theft. Laura Ladorta, 5000 block of Golden Road, reported a 1993 silver Buick Regal stolen. The car, valued at $1,000, was parked at the intersection of West Central Avenue and McCord Road.

5000 block of Argonne Place, outside rubbish or trash burning.
4600 block of Country Walk Lane, gas leak.
4600 block of Mallory Court, unauthorized burning.
5400 block of Monroe Street, brush or grass mix burning.
6700 block of Woodlake Drive, unauthorized burning.
6600 block of Wickford Square, cooking fire.
2800 block of Reynolds Road, overheated motor.
4100 block of Isadore Lane, cooking fire.
3900 block of Sylvan Wood Drive, breakdown of light ballast.
I-475 eastbound, oil or combustible liquid.
5500 block of Bonniebrook Road, arcing shorted electrical equipment.
