Northview and Southview National Honor Societies are sponsoring a drive to collect relief items for Hurricane Sandy victims today through Thursday.
The drive is a competition between the two schools to see which school can collect more items.
Students are asked to drop off donations in boxes in the cafeterias during lunch periods.
The community is invited to help the collection of items as well. Two upcoming Northview/Southview basketball games will serve as collection points today and Thursday.
Anyone interested can drop off items at the varsity boys basketball game today at Northview, 7:30 p.m., or at the varsity girls basketball game Thursday at Southview at 7:30 p.m.
There will be two collection bins, one each for Northview and Southview. We are asking family, friends, and fans to bring items to support their favorite team and help them win. All of the items collected will then be donated to the relief efforts through ISOH/IMPACT in Perrysburg.
Items needed are: nonperishable food items (dried cereal, canned goods, rice, nuts, etc.) and personal care items (paper towels, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant).
