A partnership between the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and Lourdes University will bring a leisure reading collection to the school’s Duns Scotus Library.
The collection, which consists of popular fiction and non-fiction books from authors such as Janet Evanovich, Phil Jackson, Stephen King, James Patterson, and Nora Roberts, is open to Toledo -Lucas County Public Library card holders and Lourdes faculty, staff, and students.
“We are very excited to bring a leisure reading collection to the university,” said Marilyn Zielinski, manager of the Technical Services Department at the library. “We know students spend a lot of time reading textbooks but may not always have quick access to books that ignite their interests.”
Although the books are available for check-out, an official “grand opening” and book preview is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Duns Scotus Library at Lourdes. Staff from the public library will be abel to register students for library cards and show students how to access the library’s free eMedia products.
