The Toledo Auto Show will open its doors to the public Thursday. Hundreds of cars, trucks, SUVS, and motorcycles will fill SeaGate Convention Centre for the event, which runs through Sunday. Special guest Dora the Explorer will visit the show Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 3 p.m. Doors are open 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 12 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5; children 12 and younger are free with a paid adult. Free parking will be available at the Port Lawrence Garage, Jefferson and St. Clair streets, on Saturday and Sunday.

Pat Dailey makes his annual "Cure for the Winter Blues" stop in Toledo for the 16th year in a row. The singer-songwriter will perform a one-night concert at the Premier Banquet Complex, formerly Gladieux Meadows, 4480 Heatherdowns Blvd., on Friday at 8:30 p.m. The playlist will include favorites such as "Put-in-Bay," "Legend of the Lake," "Island Fever," and "Big Money Walleye." Dailey's son, Reese Dailey, and the Reese Dailey Band will open the show. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show and can be purchased by phone at 419-473-3003.

On Friday, 20 North Gallery will open Black History Month 2012: Legacy - Peggy Grant's 35th Annual Exhibit. A reception for the opening will begin at 6 p.m. The show, which will be on display until March 10, will feature artwork of some of the best black artists of the region, as well as many nationally recognized artists. Other events will take place during the run of the exhibit and include poetry readings, storytelling, and live musical performances. Included in the exhibit will be works of Toledo-area artists including Aaron S. Bivins, Charles T. Gabriel, Jr., Alice Grace, Ronald Jamison, Elizabeth V. Jordan, Marcus Nunn, Brenda Price, Robert E. Shorter, Ramon R. Tiggs, Mack Walton, and Warren and Yolanda Woodberry, and book illustrations by the late Wil Clay. The gallery, at 18 N. St. Clair St., is open noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

Eddie Shaw and the Wolf Gang band will headline a rhythm-and-blues showcase at Griffin's Hines Farm Blues Club Saturday. The band, which played backup for blues legend Howlin' Wolf, will be joined by the Gibson Trio and special guest Dan "Mudfoot" Hubbs. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the music begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $15. The club is at 3750 S. Berkey Southern Rd. in Swanton.
