Humble PB&J goes upscale at 'Jam City'

Some of metro Toledo's top chefs will participate in Jam City, a unique event from Feed Toledo that challenges Toledo's culinary talents to put their own twist on the classic PB&J. Jam City will be held from 6 to 10:30 tonight at the Blarney on Monroe Street in downtown Toledo. Tickets are $30 and include food, wine, and locally crafted beer. Participating restaurants include Registry Bistro, the Blarney, Revolution Grille, Mancy's Steakhouse, Swig, Deet's BBQ, Balance Pan Grille, and Burger Bar 419. For tickets, visit feedtoledo.org.

Prepare for a night of acrobatic wonders, sideshow antics, aerialists, clowning, magic, and dazzling displays of fire at the 3-Penny Circus, presented by Glass City Circus and Bird's Eye View. The show will include members of the Glass City Circus, Dead Man's Carnival, and TiTano. Live musical performances will feature Sir Pinkerton Xyloma and the Magnificents. Regional and local acts include Erik Bang, Connor Otto and Scott Van Sice, Vornica Callan, Ms. Punch, Charlie Westernik, Saifee G and Katie Livingston and Luna Legare. The circus will be Friday at the Lois M. Nelson Theater in the Collingwood Art Center, 2413 Collingwood Blvd. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Comedian Dominique is headed to Toledo to tickle your funny bone. She's appeared in comedy clubs across the country and on Comedy Central. She currently holds a guest spot on the Tom Joy Morning Show. Dominique has six shows scheduled at the Toledo Funny Bone today through Sunday. Shows begin at 7 p.m. today and Sunday and 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday. Saturday shows are scheduled for 7 and 10 p.m. Tickets are $16 for shows today and Sunday and $18 for all others.
