AUDITIONS

Fremont Community Theatre will hold auditions for the comedy Rex's Exes, by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the theater, 1551 Dickinson St. in Fremont. The play, a sequel to The Red Velvet Cake War, is set in Sweetgum, Texas, where one character is turning 50 and another is determined to throw her a surprise birthday party. There are roles for three male and eight female adults. The audition will include reading from the script and, although it is unnecessary to attend both nights, it is strongly encouraged. Actors Collaborative Toledo will hold open auditions from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Mansion View Inn, 2035 Collingwood Blvd., for two staged readings directed by Barbara Barkan. For Merry Regiment of Women by Rae Shirley, there are roles for six women ages 20 to 70-plus, and three men ages 20 to 50s. The one-act comedy will be performed at 5:30 p.m. March 20 at the University of Toledo Eberly Center. For Art by Yasmina Reza, there are roles for three men ranging in age from early 40s to mid-50s. Art will be performed at 7 p.m. May 29 at the Toledo Museum of Art.
