Performances for the first camp will be 7 p.m. June 13 and 2 p.m. June 14. The second camp week's shows will be 7 p.m. June 20 and 2 p.m. June 21. The fee is $120 per child. This is the 16th annual summer theater camp program. Students may participate in only one of the two weeks, as actors or assistant directors.

Two directors from the Missoula Children’s Theatre of Montana will work with the campers to present Hansel and Gretel. In addition to the play, The Ritz will provide workshops for each age group (Grades 1-2; 3-4; 5-7; 8-12) on makeup, storytelling, costumes, puppetry, dance, and other activities related to the performing arts. In addition, four assistant directors (grades 8-12) are needed per week to help prepare the campers for the performances.

Registration is under way for students entering grades 1-12 this fall. Registration forms may be printed from the Ritz Web site, www.ritztheatre.org, or picked up at the box office. Payment of $120 per camper must accompany the registration form. The box office is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Information about the camps may be obtained by contacting Dianne Pytel, education director, at 448-8544, ext. 28, or dianne@ritztheatre.org.
