AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Andre Drummond had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Kyle Singler made a pair of big 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter to lead the Detroit Pistons over the Atlanta Hawks 115-107 on Friday night.
The injury-riddled Hawks lost their eighth straight game despite shooting 17 of 20 during a 41-point second quarter. Detroit rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit.
Drummond sat out late in the game after the Hawks started fouling him intentionally, but he had already thrown down a spectacular one-handed dunk on Elton Brand early in the fourth quarter.
That made the score 93-88. Later, the Hawks started fouling Drummond intentionally, and the move worked. The Detroit big man finished 0 for 8 from the line.
It was tied at 104 when Singler made a 3-pointer, and Will Bynum doubled the lead with a driving three-point play with 1:06 to go. A 3-pointer by Singler with 30 seconds left made it 113-106.
