Findlay man, 71, stabbed while eating in restaurant

FINDLAY - A 71-year-old man was in intensive care yesterday after being stabbed while eating in a local restaurant.

Paul Newcomer of Findlay was attacked with a knife at 11:08 a.m. by another customer who entered Lee's Family Recipe Chicken, 427 Tiffin Ave., police said. The un|provoked attack resulted in the victim's being taken to Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center for treatment.

Police arrested Joseph Russell, 49, of Findlay and charged him with felonious assault. The attack is being investigated.
