PORT CLINTON - A local family escaped uninjured early yesterday from their burning mobile home west of here, fire officials said.
George Boyer awoke about 4:30 a.m. to the sound of a smoke alarm. He then woke up his wife and their three young children.
Bay Township fire officials said the home on South Clyde Street was a total loss. The blaze started in a crawl space but investigators have not yet determined the cause.
