Toledo robbery suspect arrested in Chicago
A Toledo man suspected involvement in at least 24 bank robberies in six states, including some in which he dressed as a woman, has been arrested in Chicago, Toledo police said yesterday.
Jamie Jarnail Butler, 28, whose last known address was 220 Floyd St., was arrested on a federal warrant charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in the robbery last year of the Fifth Third Bank at 317 South Detroit Ave.
He also is charged with robbing another Fifth Third Bank branch last year and is suspected in other Toledo bank robberies.
FBI agents in Chicago developed information that led to his arrest Monday, Toledo police said.
