The other two suspects, Ricky Woodard, 41, and his wife, Kim, 38, both of Southaire Drive, were arrested Tuesday when police stopped their getaway car near Detroit and Dorr Street shortly after the 12:45 p.m. robbery attempt. They too were charged with bank robbery and were being held in the county jail.

The three made initial appearances in federal court. A detention hearing was set for Wednesday.

Man held on felony charge during truancy sweep

A 19-year-old man was arrested yesterday on felony warrants during a citywide truancy sweep by Toledo police.

Officers arrested Joey Osley after he jumped into the Ottawa River. Officers were interviewing Mr. Osley about truancy when he ran away from them. Mr. Osley was being held in the Lucas County Jail on warrants for felonious assault, aggravated burglary, vandalism, and kidnapping. Police said Mr. Osley also will face charges stemming from the chase.

Authorities arrested 23 youths - 18 boys and five girls - during the sweep from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. yesterday. The focus of the sweep ran from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. and coincided with Toledo Public Schools' proficiency testing.
