Maumee police are looking for information about the attempted robbery of a wallet from an 80-year-old man in the 1000 block of Keeler Street.

On Nov. 14, the man got out of his vehicle about 9 p.m. and was approached by the masked suspect.

The would-be robber tried to remove the man's wallet from his left coat pocket. A struggle ensued, and the man's pocket was torn, but he was not hurt.

The suspect, who didn't get the wallet, fled on foot toward Fort Street. Police don't have any reports of similar incidents in the neighborhood.
