A man with a handgun robbed the Co-Op Toledo Credit Union in South Toledo of an undisclosed amount of money yesterday, authorities said.

The man entered the credit union, 2029 South Byrne Rd., about 2:20 p.m. and demanded money while pointing the gun at an employee. The gunman then ran from the bank in an unknown direction. Some of the money dropped by the suspect was recovered, authorities said.

He was described as black, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with a light to average build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, black mask, blue shirt, and blue jeans, and was carrying a dark semiautomatic handgun.
