Lima and FBI intercept 178 pounds of marijuana

LIMA, Ohio — Local and federal officials yesterday made one of the area's largest marijuana busts in recent history.

One person was taken into custody in connection with a delivery he allegedly received of 178 pounds of marijuana. The drugs were shipped to a Lima freight office.

The package originally was detected by a dog in Arizona be|fore it was sent to Lima. When it arrived early yesterday, authorities with the Allen County sheriff's office and the Drug En|forcement Agency were waiting.

They followed the recipient to a local home, where cocaine was found, authorities said.
