Clyde man pleads guilty to reckless homicide

FREMONT - A Sandusky County man pleaded guilty yesterday to a charge of reckless homicide in the death last year of a Fremont man.

According to authorities, Brett Freeman, Sr., 39, of Clyde punched Johnny Sidney, 52, during an argument at a card game at a house on Sycamore Street in Fremont on Jan. 26, 2003.

Mr. Sidney suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead a short time later at Fremont Memorial Hospital.

Freeman could receive up to five years in prison when he is sentenced by Judge Harry Sargeant, Jr., of Sandusky County Common Pleas Court.

No sentencing date has been set.
