Bond set at $100,000 in Bellevue robbery case

BELLEVUE, Ohio - Bond was set at $100,000 yesterday for a Bellevue man charged with robbing a check-cashing business on Main Street.

Robert Liston, 37, appeared in Bellevue Municipal Court on a charge of aggravated robbery. Police said Mr. Liston entered Fast Cash on West Main Street about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, showed a black object that resembled a gun, and demanded money.

He ran off with $1,124 cash. A short time later, police received a call reporting a suspicious person walking out of a grassy area nearby, and officers responding to the call arrested Mr. Liston.

Police said the robber had on two sets of clothes and shed one of them after the heist. Officers found $1,104 cash on Mr. Liston after arresting him.
